Pedal Tech Specs And Function
9v power supply input. Boss style 2.1mm tip negative. 9V battery option inside pedal. Battery power is on when there is a guitar cable plugged in the input, and no power supply is plugged in the back.
The FUZZ footswitch activates the Fuzz pedal. True bypass. Works in bypass even without power.
The MELT footswitch activates the effects and controls on the MELT side of the pedal: The MOR GAIN boost, GATE switch, GAIN EQ switch, and GATE FEEDBACK effect. The Bypass/FUZZ footswitch must be activated first.
FUZZ SIDE
VOLUME - Right is louder. Left is quieter.
FUZZ / OCTV SWITCH - Up is classic fuzz, middle is Octavia, down position is Octavia with low pass filter. Octavia options are only active when MELT footswitch is OFF.
The FLAT EQ / SCOOP switch is a mid scoop switch and is based on the Big Muff, the middle position is the muff response and a moderate scoop at 1kHz. The down position is a deep scoop at 700 Hz like the 90's Way Huge "Swollen Pickle" big muff variant and is more industrial. The top position is flat mids.
The TONE control pans between lo-pass and hi-pass filters, optimally placed after the fuzz.
GAIN - Controls the amount of Fuzz.
MELT SIDE
The GATE SWITCH turns the Gate effect and Gate Feedback loop on or off. In the down position the gated loop is off. In the up position the gate feedback aka bitcrusher misbiases the fuzz and creates a dying battery glitchy effect controlled by the GATE FEEDBACK knob.
The MOR GAIN dial controls the second fuzz level and adds up to 20x pre-fuzz gain to your already gained out fuzz.
The GATE FEEDBACK knob is active and only does anything when the second footswitch is on, and the GATE SWITCH switch is down. Activating the GATE SWITCH misbiases the fuzz, making an asymetrical, gated square wave fuzz. When that's happening the GATE FEEDBACK knob adds internal feedback, feeding the out of the fuzz back in to the input this makes it freak out and do weird things. It's like a circuit bending trick to get effects to freak out. There is a limited gated setting to keep feedback in your desired realms. When it's down that's zero feedback.
The GAIN EQ SWITCH affects the response of the additional gain controlled by the MOR GAIN knob. In the down position, it’s a full frequency boost, in the middle, just treble is boosted, and in the up position it only boosts lower frequencies.
