The Lurkville Skateboard x Dowd Records collab kicks off in 2021 with a deck from TLA!
The TLA deck is an 8” popsicle shaped deck that is the size and shape ridden by most of the members of TLA. The vintage synthesizer graphics were designed by Tahiti Pehrson and Miguel Aldana.

The flexi record is a Lurkville exclusive and includes two new TLA songs – a glorious and heart-wrenching visit to the shadows called Hungry For The Dark and the thumping club banger, Among The Living.
About TLA - Drawing from decades of friendship and shared experiences, Jon Sortland (The Shins), Tahiti Pehrson (visual artist) and Jason Clark (The Pleased) have created songs that put modern heartache and longing into a 90’s rocket that’s been launched straight into an early MTV video. TLA can trace its roots to the band member’s youth as outcasts in a small town united through skateboarding, punk rock, New Wave and British music. Long-time friends and collaborators Miguel Aldana and Genaro Vergoglini (The Pleased) complete the think tank.

Five high school students from different walks of life endure a Saturday detention under power-hungry principal Migs. The disparate group includes rebel Sorty, outcast Tahiti, brainy J.R., and Jay, the jock. Each has a chance to tell their story, making the others see them a little differently -- and when the day ends, they question whether school will ever be the same.
